High profile investors including Blackbird Ventures, Bond Capital and Woolworths’ W23 venture arm, raised $50 million raising the company’s valuation to $560 million. Lumachain raised a total of US$19.5 million in Series A funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Main Sequence to support its expansion to the US and scale up its team to roll out the platform to customers globally. Aug 2022 BlackRock acquires Melbourne-based battery developer Akaysha Energy Alistair Jaque (Partner) and Steven An (Associate) acted for the shareholders of Akaysha Energy, a Melbourne-based battery developer, on its acquisition by one of the world’s largest fund managers, BlackRock. The acquisition by BlackRock’s climate infrastructure business will result in a $1 billion investment in grid-scale batteries and a significant shift from coal to clean energy in Australia. Aug 2022 Valsoft acquires Azility Energy Management Solutions Alistair Jaque, Antony Bull and Orhai Shiba acted for Valsoft Corporation Inc on its acquisition of Azility Energy Management Solutions, a next-generation energy management solutions provider that powers energy, water, and emissions savings. Valsoft acquires and develops vertical market software companies around the world that deliver critical solutions for customers in various industries.
