Simon Correggia

Simon is a senior corporate and transactional lawyer at Deutsch Miller. Simon has experience in a range of corporate advisory matters such as mergers & acquisitions, cross-border transactions, venture capital investments, corporate financings, corporate governance and corporate structuring.

Simon’s corporate practice focuses on the technology, transport, financial services and education sectors advising early stage companies, domestic and international companies and their investors, including venture capital investors and private equity funds. Simon advises on the full cycle of investment work, from initial investment to exit, bolt-on acquisitions, corporate restructures, MBOs/MBIs, employee incentive plans and corporate governance.

Simon is one of the few solicitors in Australia who specialises in Co-operatives law. Simon advises large scale water irrigators, port operators, marine service providers and agribusinesses on the Co-operative structure, assisting in the formation and registration of Co-operatives and advising clients on their compliance obligations under the Co-operatives National Law.

Prior to joining Deutsch Miller, Simon worked as a Senior Associate at K&L Gates and other boutique law firms in Australia advising on a wide range of corporate advisory matters.

Simon completed an L.L.B. (European Legal Studies in Italian) at King’s College London and Bologna University in 2007 and was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales in 2013.

On his time off, Simon enjoys spending time with his wife and son and playing golf, tennis and supporting his favourite football team Juventus F.C.
